Stella Manoli

KTP Associate

Stella joined the group in November 2018 as a KTP (Knowledge transfer partnership) associate. This KTP funded project is based around Covesion Ltd’s IP on manufacturing MgO:PPLN crystals for use in optical frequency conversion, more specifically, its use in the emerging field of quantum technology.

Stella obtained her BSc in Physics degree from the University of Crete in 2012, continued with a MSc in Geophysics in 2014 from Ludwig Maximilians University Munich and then went on to obtain a PhD in Mechanical engineering at the University of Sheffield. Her PhD thesis investigated the mechanical properties the environmental impacts of injection moulded and 3D printed natural fibre-reinforced composites. The last three years she is an active Athena Swan member firstly joined as a PhD student representative and then as a researcher.
