Research Fellow
Dr Goronwy Tawy is a research fellow at the Optolelectronic Research Centre (ORC) working on laser sources using PPLN waveguides for Quantum Technologies. Goronwy joined in April 2022 after spending a year seconded to Unilase Ltd as part of an EPSRC knowledge-transfer-secondment. His PhD from Imperial College London was on diode-pumped Alexandrite lasers.
Outside the laser lab he enjoys being outdoors, be that on a bike, a run or just a walk! A perfect accompaniment to his other passion of tea and cakes.
